[…] I have officially been a part of the Daisy Rock family for a year, and I am so honored to be a part of such an amazing group of players lead by the Tish Ciravolo. In addition to being a phenomenal bass player, Tish Ciravolo, founder of Daisy Rock Guitars, is a woman with a mission. Tish is doing whatever it takes to help girls play guitar and pursue music, and she has inspired many girls to start their musical journeys. (Want to find out more about Tish? Check out Lisa’a Bass Blog entry about Tish! http://lisacaliva.com/2013/03/14/bassists-to-know-tish-ciravolo/) […]

That's awesome! I only have fours now, but I really want a five. I was in the studio not too long ago and they had a five-string music man. Pretty cool stuff. :-). Thanks for reading! :-)

Great easy read! I predominantly play fives now. I have two top end basses and as you mentioned a cheaper Squire, it's a great bass, I did upgrade the passive pickups but it really is a fierce bass! I still play fours, just not as much, generally in the studio. The 'cheaper' bass has its place and gets used equally with the expensive ones which is nice.

Before switching to In ears, I was a HUGE fan of these: HEAROS High Fidelity Ear Plug Series (see below) - they cut out the extreme highs of cymbals/snare that can kill the upper range of your hearing, without totally muffling the sound that a lot of foam ear plus will do, plus after a few weeks, you don't even realize that you have them in. Hope that helps Lisa! :)
